Zarko-Flynn Ltd was established by Peter Zarko-Flynn, a journalist and communications professional with more than 15 years experience in media and public relations, communications strategy and issues management.

Peter has worked for, and on behalf of, many of the biggest organisations in the UK, including the BBC, Cancer Research UK, Astra Zeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, Roche and Pfizer. A creative thinker, with a track record of devising and delivering award-winning campaigns, Peter is known for his approachable, engaging manner while delivering results time after time.

Biography

As a News and Current Affairs Producer with the BBC for five years, Peter Zarko-Flynn was responsible for a wide range of on-air programming. He quickly developed a reputation for keeping a calm and clear head whatever challenges were thrown his way. His ability to quickly identify and implement effective solutions led to a doubling of the audience figures for the flagship breakfast programme he produced.

As Head of Media at Cancer Research UK, Peter was responsible for taking the press office through a period of immense change (following the merger of the Cancer Research Campaign and Imperial Cancer Research Fund) while also quickly establishing the new brand with health and science correspondents. His efforts in building and guiding a first-class team led to numerous awards for the press office, including three Communiqué awards (including the prestigious Campaign of the Year), being named the most effective charity press office for four consecutive years, and winning the Medical Journalists Association's Medical Charity of the Year award.

Following this, Peter spent a number of years representing some of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies and their ethical healthcare brands, before establishing Zarko-Flynn Ltd in 2010.
